4 Amazing iOS Updates and Support for Spatial Widgets in visionOS 26

I am thrilled to share a big update for four of my apps and the support of Spatial widgets: Date Today, Sunrise, Hard Disk, and My Lunar New Year. They now support iOS 26 and visionOS 26. I have been working hard to make sure these experiences feel fresh, modern, and deeply integrated into the latest versions of Apple’s platforms. And for the first time, all of these apps are also available as spatial widgets on visionOS, bringing familiar information into the next-generation spatial computing experience.

What is Spatial widgets?

Spatial widgets are interactive widgets designed for visionOS, Apple’s operating system for spatial computing. Unlike traditional widgets that sit on a phone or tablet screen, spatial widgets exist in 3D space, floating within your environment. They provide glanceable, real-time information that stays accessible as you move between apps or experiences. This makes them a powerful way to bring useful content such as dates, storage information, or countdowns to special days directly into your surroundings.

Widget Updates

Here is an overview of all my widget updates and what is new in this version, so you can get the best experience on your device.

Date Today

Date Today has always focused on the simplest need: knowing the current date and time at a glance. Furthermore, it provides additional date views you might find useful. For example, the double-month widget lets you see both the current and next month in the medium widget. And with Apple Vision Pro, you can now add multiple spatial widgets anywhere in your space, including a large calendar widget.

iOS

You can choose the calendar widget in small, medium, or large sizes. What is new is the customizable analog clock widget, which you can personalize with your preferred colors.

visionOS

You can add a calendar or combo widget that shows the current day, day of the week, and even your device’s battery level. The choice is entirely up to you.

Hard Disk

Checking your storage space should not require diving deep into settings. With Hard Disk, you can instantly see how much room you have left on your device. That by placing the widget on your home screen. Or in your space with Apple Vision Pro.

iOS

You can choose any widget size you want and customize it to your preferred style. The new Liquid Glass effect adds a modern and elegant touch.

visionOS

On your Apple Vision Pro, you can now place any widget in your space. The new poster-format widget lets you view your storage as a detailed card or as a colorful progress bar with its percentage value.

Sunrise

Start the Day with Nature’s Clock. With Sunrise, I wanted to make the rhythms of nature more accessible in our modern lives. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery as the sun rises and sets, showing you the exact moment it happens on that time. You can also change the display to show the day as a percentage, so you can see how much of the day has been completed.

iOS

Sunrise offers small, medium, and large widgets. Every hour, there is always some activity in the scene — from a fishing boat during the day to, at 2 a.m., the beam of light from a UFO at night.

This scenery can also be viewed as a spatial widget anywhere in your space. For example, while watching a movie, you can see the beautiful sun setting along with the current time.

My Lunar New Year

Find out when the next Lunar New Year is coming. With the latest My Lunar New Year app update, you can discover your current zodiac sign, along with your element, lucky color, and personality traits. You will even learn which zodiac signs are your best matches. In addition, the app provides a list of Lunar New Year traditions celebrated during the season.

iOS

When you open the My Lunar New Year app, the first tab shows how many days are left until Lunar New Year. Swiping to the left opens the second tab, where the app calculates your zodiac sign based on the date you select.

Conclusion

This update is more than just compatibility. It is about reimagining small, essential apps for the future of computing. Whether you are glancing at your phone’s Lock Screen or exploring a spatial workspace in visionOS, I want these apps to bring a little clarity, convenience, and joy to your day.

All four updated apps are now available on the App Store. You can learn more for each of my application on my apps overview web page. The future is here, and I am excited to share it with you.
