I am happy to announce that Hard Disk version 1.3.7 is now available for iOS and iPadOS, bringing several improvements that make it easier to personalize your Home Screen and keep track of your storage. And that includes a completely new background widget chooser page, so you can select the background for that specific widget size.
What is Hard Disk?
Hard Disk is a simple and intuitive storage management app for iPhone and iPad, designed to give you a clear overview of how your device storage is being used. Instead of navigating through multiple settings pages, Hard Disk puts your storage information in one convenient place, making it easy to see how much space is available and what is taking up storage on your device.
The app provides a visual overview of your storage, including the space used by songs, videos, pictures, and other files. You can quickly check your available storage and better understand how your iPhone or iPad is using its capacity.
Hard Disk also makes it easy to keep your storage information accessible through Home Screen widgets. Hard Disk Updates
A rewritten widget chooser
One of the biggest improvements in this update is a completely rewritten background widget chooser for iOS and iPadOS. You can now choose exactly where you want your Hard Disk widget to appear using a convenient grid view. The app will then generate the correct wallpaper for that position, making it much easier to set up your widget exactly the way you want it.
Add your own external disk
Hard Disk 1.3.7 also introduces a new option to add an external disk to the Home page. This means you can keep an eye on additional storage devices directly from the app and see how much free space is available in GB or TB. Whether you use an external drive for backups, media, or additional files, you can now include it in your storage overview.
If you want to remove that external storage, you can swipe it to the left side and tap on the trash icon. Then the external storage will no longer be visible.
Share your storage information
Sharing your current storage information is now easier, too. A new Share button on the Home page lets you export your current storage details as either a text file or PDF. This makes it simple to save your storage information, send it to someone else, or keep a record for later.
The PDF document provides complete details about the storage information displayed on the Home page. At the top, it includes the app logo and the application name, Hard Disk.
Below that, you will find the storage progress bar, followed by the number of songs, videos, pictures, and unknown files stored on your device. The document also includes the device name and device type, giving you a complete overview of your current storage information.
