What is Word of the Day?

Word of the Day is a Windows application designed to help you improve your vocabulary daily. In the game, you need to guess the word by typing letters into the text box. If a letter is correct and in the right position, it will be highlighted with a green box; if the letter is correct but in the wrong position, it will appear with a yellow box; and if the letter is incorrect, it will have a gray background.

Can I install it on many devices?

Word of the Day’s installation limits depend on the platform and licensing:

A Microsoft Store purchase can be installed on multiple Windows machines, up to 10 devices per Microsoft account.

How many words can I guess on a day?

You can only guess one word per day, but you can play again the next day with a new word.

Can I choose a different word language?

Yes, on the Word of the Day settings page, you can adjust the word language to one of the four supported languages: Dutch, English, French, or Spanish.

Do you support a Windows 11 widget?

Yes! You can also play the Word of the Day game in the Windows 11 widget.
